Have You Tried This New Litter?

I saw the FreshAire Litter on a review and read quite a number of positive posts on it. I was at Petsmart and decided to purchase the litter to see if the litter warranted the reports.
There are 3 types of FreshAire Litter (one is pine ,one is cedar and the third with bio-filters) and decided on the fragrance free type with Bio-Filters. The first observation when I
opened the pail was the smell and the texture. It was so different than any other I have used and wasn't convinced it would be better than what I am currently using. The smell is
very mild, somewhat earthy and wood and it feels like sand. The cats went to it right away and it tracks a lot less than other types. Normally, I have to clean the litter 1-2 days
and I wipe the drawer with rubbing alcohol to keep the odors down so I thought FreshAire would be the same. To test it I thought I would try to leave it more than a day to observe how
effective odor control is. Well on the 4th day I decided to clean the litter and was surprised that there was NO bad odors at all, in fact I could put my nose very close to the
"baseballs" and the litter smelled just as clean as the first day!! My cats use the LR and this litter did fine going through the cycle. The clumps were not as tight as other litters but
the clumps were also a lot smaller, so it didn't fill the drawer so quickly. With the other litter I need to empty the drawer every 1- 2 days or it gets too full. With FreshAire it
probably would take a week to fill the capacity but I wouldn't let it go that long. The other FreshAire litter (cedar or pine) didn't get as much positive reports as the one with
bio-filters and I can't make a judgment on them as I haven't tried them but I will give the FreshAire with Bio-Filters two thumbs up!

I agree. I got this product about 3 weeks ago and have been using it successfully with 3 cats (2 female and one male). The male has a sensitive nose and he has been using it regularly. Very little or no smell but I empty the tray every 3 days. Also, this litter does not stick to the inside of the globe and is light to carry (up 3 flights of stairs.)

Well it has been more than six months the cats have been using this litter and I have been satisfied with it.
There were no issues with the cats transitioning to it and odor control is great. I will continue to use this
until I find the perfect litter.

I loved this litter for quite a while but the formulation must have changed. It doesn't clump as well and
now it gets VERY dusty. In fact when the cats are in the LR they create a dust cloud. So now I am in search
for a different litter. Has anyone found one they really like that performs well and doesn't get so dusty?
