When I was trying to find a way of getting litter odor under control I used Litter Pearls (litter)
and mixed in clay litter. Worked well and got the odor under control.

My cats love this stuff. I hate it.

This is an ongoing argument with my cats. I want a lightweight, non-clay, non-stinky litter. In other words, WBCL. They hate it. I've tried WBCL, Swheat, Graino, etc. They hate 'em. They love regular old clumping litter (even thought they've _never_ had it as a regular). I hate regular old clumping litter because it hurts my carpal tunneled hands and because it gets up my nose.

So... cats vote: this is the best litter in the world. My vote: too heavy, stinky perfume.

JD have you tried Dr. Elsey's clumping clay - dust free and no perfume, add the crystals in to it yourself? I was hoping this litter would be lighter than regular clay but if it is scented as you mentioned I will not use it. I wish manufacturers would always make unscented versions!

The thing that interests me about the blend is that it's not crystals with clay, it is crystals plus a recycled wood core coated with clay... supposedly more absorbent yet clumping! I actually just found this litter "Odor Lockers" on Amazon, same idea (wood core with clay coating) and it comes in Unscented. I just ordered some, shipping is expensive to CA but the litter is cheap (at least compared to WBCL):
