Perfect Litter from Pet Ecology

Postby martin » Mon Aug 27, 2007 12:34 am

Saw an ad on TV tonight for a new product called "Perfect Litter" from Pet Ecology. First thing I did was hit this site to see if people were talking about it, but couldn't find anything.

They are giving a free 'two week trial' from their website. I won't link it because I know you are sensitive to that kind of thing and I'm not sure what the boundaries on that kind of thing.

Anyway, I think we are going to give it a shot. Anyone else out there tried it?

I tried this litter and gave up after the first bag. The litter is very lightweight so when the cats walk into the litterbox they sank into it. It freaked them out and it made
a curiuos crunching sound that they weren't use to. Then when they got out after using the litterbox some of the litter stayed on their legs, belly, back and tails. It
clumps ok and the odor control was fine. I tried the second bag in the LR and it made a terrible mess and it didn't stay clumped enough to handle the cycle. It does
turn color if there is something in the urine. It might be good if someone has a suspicion that their cat has a kidney problem or if you want to check once in a while
on their kidney function. I wouldn't use it everyday.
