I use it and used chicken feed (bought a 50lb bag from the feed store) as cat litter as well.

I used the large ziploc storage bags (the 20 some odd gallon size, etc.) and put about 1 months worth in each, zipped, then doubled bagged inside another ziploc. Then I put them in the chest freezer in our garage. I kept 1 month's worth on hand next to the box in an airtight litter container (i.e. those you get "free" when you buy the petco brand litter, or tidy cats, etc.).

This worked well for me, in the south east, during the summer, AND in a water heater room right inside the garage. The only visitors I had due to the litter were garden slugs that ate up the traced WBCL on the cement floor.
