Chicken Feed is nearly the same thing as World's Best Cat Litter, and costs much less.

Be very careful - I read of someone's horrible experience on another board, they used chicken feed and it became or was already contaminated with aflatoxin - a mold that grows on grain. Her 3 cats were poisoned and have permanent liver damage as a result. I contacted WBCL about this fter reading her story to ask about the possibility of aflatoxin in it, they replied that 1. they screen all corn that comes in for aflatoxin, 2. their packaging seals out moisture that would allow aflatoxin to grow (never buy damaged bags of WBCL) 3. the litter should be stored in a dry location to prevent any mold from growing after opening the package.

See my response to the atofloxin question in this thread: http://www.litterbox-central.com/litter-box/post17789.html#p17789

The response I got from the makers of Layena & Dumor chicken layer should quell any fear of using it, as I have for the past 3 years minimum, with no ill effects on my many cats.
